Spring success! What’s next?

iCTE students working at Ice Cream SocialOn February 25th Irwin Deleon from ACCES-VR was at the Career Services campus conducting on site interviews for students who are transitioning out of BOCES.

Our first rotation of students from Intro to Fashion and Retail finished their internship at Yes,She Can, located in White Plains, and a new rotation of interns will start March 4th. At Yes She Can, you’ll find gently used American Girl dolls, clothing, furniture, and books that have been cleaned and prepared for sale at discounted prices in an easy-access store. At the store the interns practice social skills, employability skills, and on site job training.

The picture on the left shows a few students from Retail Food Skills and Service on their internship at Ice Cream Social, located in White Plains. These students not only scoop ice cream but make ice cream cakes, pack deliveries, make dog friendly ice cream treats and much more!
