Southern Westchester BOCES students demonstrated excellence across a range of career and technical disciplines when they earned multiple honors at the 2026 New York SkillsUSA Championships, which were held April 22-24 at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
The SkillsUSA chapter at the Center for Career Services earned a Silver medal in the Chapter of Excellence Program, recognizing the chapter’s overall achievement in leadership, service, and program quality.
A team of SWBOCES students Gianna Stracuzzi (Rye Neck), PK Salvador (Rye), and Leonardo Daza-Rosario (Pelham) captured Gold in the Culinary Quiz Bowl competition. The earned first place based on their outstanding knowledge and teamwork in a fast-paced culinary competition.
In Digital Cinema Production, Tyler Luisi (Eastchster) and Jake Olivier (Eastchester) earned a Silver medal for their collaborative work in film production.
Isaith Jimenez (Port Chester) was awarded a Silver medal in Pin Design for his creative and impactful design.
“We had an exciting time,” Career Services Principal Jaclyn De Lao said. “These accomplishments highlight the skill, dedication, and professionalism of Southern Westchester BOCES students on a statewide stage.”
