Remote Learning

Remote Learning Plan

Dear Parent / Guardians, Students, Districts & our Community-

The Center for Career Services is committed to continuing instruction for all students who might be impacted by recent school closures.   Although Career & Technical Education inherently requires hands-on practical application of knowledge, our dedicated staff have been committed to sharing resources, materials, assignments, assessments & supplementary materials in order to support our students.  Please continue to check our web page for updates.

Many of our programs deliver instruction through our SWBOCES issued student / staff Google accounts on a daily basis.  In these cases, we plan to continue to post in that format, however we are committed as a Center to also post assignments and activities to our web page as well --- see below for assignments by program.

In addition, in some cases we may also mail materials home when required - for example to distribute Industry Exam study guides or other copyrighted materials.

On behalf of the Center for Career Services staff - we appreciate your patience & understanding as we all navigate this challenge.

Please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

James Matera, Principal | Center for Career Services

Message from Mr. D --

All students are responsible for logging into their google classroom account DAILY, Monday-Friday, reading all posts from their teacher, and completing all assignments by due date.  These will be counted as part of your grade.  Students should spend time each class day, studying current subject material, doing assignments, and working on their final project (NOCTI) outline.  Additionally, this will be a good time for seniors to study the NOCTI preparation quizlet, which consists of 255 questions, also located on Google Classroom.

Make sure when you log into Google – it is with your SWBOCES issued Google Account!

If there are any questions, please contact me at my email address.

Thank you,

Michael D’Abruzzo
