A trip to UTI

Outreach brings educators to UTI

Representatives from the Center for Career Services visited the Universal Technical Institute in Bloomfield, NJ at the start of the school year in September.

The Center for Career Services has an articulation agreement with UTI, which offers students a robust diesel program as well as HVAC training and automotive, motorcycle, NASCAR, marine, collision repair, CNC Machining and welding. Careers students have an opportunity to enhance the certification they receive from BOCES programs.

UTI also has a hiring program with several dealerships in the area, including Ray Catena Auto Group in White Plains.

Although students were not able to accompany representatives on the tour, they will have an opportunity to learn more about the UTI offerings thanks to a visit and tour completed by Work-Based Learning Coordinator Garrett Jennings and Senior Office Assistant Eric Nygard.
