Culinary creativity shines in video submission
Take a look at Culinary Arts student Leonardo Rodrigues’ video he submitted as part of the New York City Department of Youth & Community Developments “Recipe Rescue" contest.
The DYCD encouraged students to use their time at home during the pandemic to get in the kitchen and create a meal. The contest notes said “the act of cooking a meal — even a simple one — can bring great comfort and joy to you as well as to your loved ones. As the city continues practicing social distancing, we challenge young people to show us how you whip up a recipe that has “rescued” you during this pandemic!”
Leonardo made Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp all from scratch.
Winners receive culinary prizes, recognition in the DYCD social media platforms and have their recipe be a part of the organization’s digital cookbook.
