The position of the Mechanic is to maintain and repair vehicles. The mechanic is responsible for repairing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues striving toward maximum reliability and functionality. Drug Screening, Physical Exam required. Excellent Driving record for the past 5 years required. Position Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. ASE certification preferred. Must have a minimum of 2-years experience as a mechanic. Must have and maintain an excellent NYS Driver's License with valid CDL. General Responsibilities: Responsible for maintaining, repairing, welding and rebuilding vehicles as outlined on repair orders. Responsible for troubleshooting fleet needs. Required to perform vehicle inspections and document findings. Required to read schematics and maintenance manuals. Required to road test vehicles. Physical and Sensory Requirements- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to physically and visually inspect equipment and vehicles. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.Summary of Benefits: 40 hour workweek.
